I am a writer of church songs. This style requires lots of balancing. I try to balance pieces to be both musically interesting and that can be played by anyone and sung by everyone. I try to balance the words so that they are inspiring and true - both in for the nature of the infinite that we sing to and the complicated, confused people that we are. In the recordings of this collection of songs I have tried also to balance between a sound that isn't bland, generic or over simple, with one that inspire people to play the songs in their own contexts without being put off.
